Members' Newsletter - Looking After Your Club – A Reminder

Tuesday 29th September 2026

Dear Member,

As a members’ club, looking after Riverside is something we all share responsibility for. Please help us keep the club tidy, safe and secure so that everyone can enjoy it.

Keeping your Club Tidy

We’ve recently noticed more rubbish being left around the courts and clubhouse. Everything from fruit skins and food wrappers to other general rubbish is being left behind, as well as sharp metal ring-pull covers, which can be a safety hazard. When you are using the club, please take responsibility for clearing up after yourself and leaving the area as you found it. There are plenty of bins around the club, so please use them or take any rubbish home with you.

It only takes a few moments to tidy up, but it makes a real difference to everyone who uses the club.

Keeping your Club Secure

The courts are the club’s most valuable asset and should never be left unsecured.

If you are one of the last to leave, please make sure you:

  • Lock the courts and clubhouse securely.
  • Check that the clubhouse and courts are tidy for the next day’s use.

These are small things that make a huge difference. Please leave the club as you would wish to find it – tidy, safe and secure.

Thank you for helping us look after your club and making Riverside a great place for everyone.

Kind regards, The WRLTC Committee
